Glass Specimen Tubes (vials)

Used for wet preservation and storage of small specimens.
Two different styles of glass tubes are available with polyethylene caps. All tubes are supplied with caps. Push-in Cap One type of tube employs the push-in style cap. Samco Brand - Cat No. E 77, E 78, E 78A, E 79, E 79A, E 80, E 80A, E 80B, E 81, E 82. They are Soda Glass tubes with Poly Stoppers. These push in caps are a tight fit, but they are not wadded caps. For wet preservation work or for storage of liquid the screw type caps mentioned below might be more appropriate. If you are ordering a large quantity and in doubt, we suggest you order a sample of the tubes in question to determine the suitability of purpose. Screw on Cap E83A, E84T and E85T use the screw on caps which are black in colour. The E83-Bijo have white screw on caps. E84T and E85T are classified as Scintillation Vials, manufactured from Low Potassium Glass with a screw neck. The E83A and E83bijo are Glass vials with a screw neck. Each of these type of tubes have wadded plastic caps. Insulation tape can also be applied around the tube and the cap if required. Please note that our E999A and E999AB series (much stronger and more robust glass) have a rubber liner in their screw type metal caps. Click for more information on these metal capped tubes. |
